“We are not human beings on a spiritual journey, but rather we are spiritual beings on a human journey.” (Teilhard de Chardin)

Reverend Gregory Zimmerman was a member of the Claretian Fathers, a missionary organization with worldwide presence. He received his degree in theology at Catholic University in Washington, DC, was ordained a Roman Catholic priest and served five years in Guatemala, Central America.

Trained in the reforms of Vatican II, he felt that these reforms were thwarted by the papal regimes following the death of John XXIII. Consequently, he removed himself from the Claretians and pursued a graduate degree in psychology at Loyola University, Chicago, where he met and married his wife. In the course of employment in the health care field he earned an MBA and served in municipal government for fifteen years. They raised four children and have six grandchildren. He presently lives in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Fr. Greg is a member of CITI Ministries, Inc., which is a Catholic organization of priests and lay people assisting the faithful wherever called. He is also a member of the International Council of Community Churches. He is available to officiate at marriage, baptism, funerals, etc. of whatever faith context and for civil ceremonies. He also is available for weddings in Spanish.
